By Years 11 and 12, students have access to a range of pathways, including ATAR courses for university entry, general courses for alternative pathways and vocational education and training (VET) qualifications that provide hands-on industry experience. With the guidance of specialist teaching staff, students receive the support they need to maximise their potential and prepare for life beyond school.

At Ballajura Community College, nationally accredited qualifications are delivered to Year 11 and 12 students, providing them with industry-recognised certifications that open pathways to apprenticeships, traineeships, direct employment or further study at TAFE or university. The college’s on-site trade training centre strengthens the VET program, offering students exceptional training in a range of career fields. With strong links to local industries, students gain real-world experience that enhances their employability.

The specialist Advanced Curriculum Enrichment (ACE) program provides high-achieving students from Years 7 to 10 with extension classes that exceed the standard curriculum, offering opportunities for academic enrichment, cultural excursions and leadership development. The program ensures intellectually gifted students are challenged to reach their full potential, while building a strong foundation for university and future careers.

For students seeking to enhance their English skills, dedicated support is offered at the college through the English as an additional language or dialect (EALD) program, helping students improve their written and verbal communication to succeed in their studies, prepare for further education and training, and confidently engage in school life.

We acknowledge and respect the traditional custodians of the lands and waters on which our students live and are educated throughout Western Australia.

We acknowledge and understand that Elders, parents, families and communities are the first educators of their children and we recognise and value the cultures and strengths that Aboriginal children bring to the classroom. Aboriginal people have a long tradition of teaching and learning through sharing their connections with country, community, language and culture, and through their oral histories, stories and lived experiences that are passed from generation to generation. We recognise and value the learning that Aboriginal children bring with them from their homes and communities into the classroom.
