Morley Senior High School is committed to embracing diversity, catering to the needs of all students and celebrating the achievement of personal best. It delivers a range of engaging academic and social programs, including Approved Specialist Programs for aviation and multimedia and broadcasting, and specialist courses focusing on automotive trade and soccer.

There is also a performance plus program for high performing students in Year 7, which encourages students to become critical thinkers and incorporates student-led learning opportunities, where they develop problem-solving skills to address real-life issues.

The school has welcomed international students for many years and has its own language centre, where students learn English skills before they join the mainstream curriculum. Students also receive excellent support with Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) subjects, vocational training and general courses.

Morley Senior High School accepts international students in Years 7 to 10, for continuance on to Years 11 and 12.

Life at Morley Senior High School

Teachers at Morley Senior High School make sure international students have the support they need to succeed academically and personally. They have the training and experience to ensure every student achieves their best. The school environment is designed to encourage students to realise their potential in academic and vocational pursuits, social development, and participation in sporting activities.

International students can access a full range of academic and training courses, to fully equip them for a successful transition into Australian universities or further technical education or the workforce.

Support for students

Students are supported by a career practitioner, who assists with academic and employment pathway planning. A vocational education coordinator is available to advise on traineeship and apprenticeship opportunities.

The school also has a large student services team, with student wellbeing managers, year coordinators, a nurse, psychologist, chaplain and school officer. These professionals work together to support the health and academic wellbeing of all students.

Settling in

The school chaplain meets new students and takes them on a tour of the school. They are then paired with another student from the language centre, who helps them settle in and meet other students.

Every morning, all students attend a tutor group, where they receive mentoring, and connect with their friends. There are also programs that support the mental wellbeing of students, and clubs, such as homework club, creative writing, art and breakfast club.

  • Morley Senior High School is 11 kilometres from Perth city centre. The school is close to shopping centres, leisure centres, a swimming pool and cinemas. There are also lovely parks and walking trails nearby. Students can easily travel around Perth using public transport close to school.
